Open Water Diver:


PADI’s Open water course, the world’s most popular diving course, is the first step in becoming a certified scuba diver. Usually conducted over 4 days here at Underwater Cape Verde, this course is divided into three areas of learning:

  1. Knowledge development where you learn the basic principles of diving
  2. Confined water sessions where you learn scuba skills in a controlled environment
  3. Open water sessions where you will review skills and get a chance to explore the underwater world.

During this course you will learn about scuba equipment and assembly, how to plan and execute dives, a variety of skills that you will help you enjoy your diving more as well as safety considerations. This course involves 5 confined water sessions, 4 open water dives and a quick knowledge development exam all under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor. Once completed students will be certified to dive anywhere in the world, with a buddy of course, to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
The course includes all materials, equipment hire and instruction.
Prerequisites:

To enroll in a PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water course you must be 10 years or older.
